Der **KP-Index** misst die geomagnetische Aktivität der Erde auf einer Skala von 0 bis 9. Bei geomagnetischen Stürmen werden GPS-Positionen ungenauer und Kompasswerte unzuverlässiger: Die Drohne kann im Schwebeflug driften oder eine Kompasskalibrierung verlangen.
