# Visible GNSS satellites

A drone holds its position and comes home with satellite positioning. The more satellites it locks, the steadier the hover.

Drone Weather Forecast downloads the orbits of the **GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and BeiDou** constellations (CelesTrak data) and computes which satellites are above the horizon at your position and hour. It shows the **visible** and **locked** counts, using an elevation mask you can change (15° by default): satellites too low over the horizon are blocked by buildings and terrain.
