# Choice of weather source

> The forecast comes from Open-Meteo for free; Pro users can switch to Apple WeatherKit or WeatherAPI, merged with Open-Meteo altitude winds.

No weather model is right every time. Drone Weather Forecast lets you choose where the forecast comes from:

- **Open-Meteo** (free, default): 7-day forecast with winds by altitude.
- **Apple WeatherKit** (Pro): up to 10 days, merged with the altitude winds of Open-Meteo.
- **WeatherAPI** (Pro): 3-day forecast, merged with Open-Meteo for the following days.

The sources are merged hour by hour, by time stamp, and a value no source provides is shown as missing. Change the source in Settings → Data source.
