DJI's GEO zone database lists **43 drone zones in Norway**, **43 of them restricted**, mostly around airports and military bases. Below are the zone types, the largest restricted zones, the rules at a glance and the official links to request permission when you need to fly inside a zone.

## How to get authorization to fly in a restricted zone

2. Within 5 km of an airport, get permission from the air traffic service; at most Avinor airports you apply in the NinoxDrone2 app. The authority has announced this rule will change, so check the current version. [Official page](https://www.avinor.no/en/practical-info/drone/)
