Drone rules in Norway at a glance

How to get authorization to fly in a restricted zone

- Check dronesoner.no and current NOTAMs before every flight. Official page
- Within 5 km of an airport, get permission from the air traffic service; at most Avinor airports you apply in the NinoxDrone2 app. The authority has announced this rule will change, so check the current version. Official page
- To fly in the R-102 restricted area over central Oslo, apply to Luftfartstilsynet (about two weeks, fee). Official page
- Flying a DJI drone? With the authorization in hand, request an unlock on DJI FlySafe. DJI's unlock does not replace the authority's permission.
