Drone no-fly zones by country

The Drone Weather Forecast zone map has 207,036 drone zones in 239 countries and territories: official data in 10 of them (such as the FAA in the United States, DECEA in Brazil and the DGAC in France) and DJI FlySafe GEO zones elsewhere. Pick a country for its zone types, the largest restricted zones, the rules at a glance and the official links to request authorization.

What the zone colours mean

• 🟥 Prohibited — No flying from the ground up without a special permission: the area closest to airport runways, prisons, military sites, capital-city no-fly areas.
• 🟧 Authorization required — You may fly only with an authorization from the aviation authority or the airspace manager, for example around airports and in controlled airspace.
• 🟪 Height limit — You may fly below the height of the zone without asking; above it you need an authorization. Typical of the outer steps around airports.
• 🟨 Warning — Not closed, but fly with care and follow the local rules: heliports, small airfields, military training areas, stadiums, nature reserves.
• 🟩 Recommended — Places set aside for drone flying, such as model aircraft fields.

Flying inside a zone

A restricted zone does not always mean flying is forbidden: often you can fly with an authorization from the aviation authority, and each country page lists the official steps. On a DJI drone, once you have the authorization, request an unlock on DJI FlySafe; the DJI GEO zone map shows the zones DJI applies.
