The DJI Spark is rated for wind up to 28 km/h (7.8 m/s · 17 mph · 15 kn), which is Beaufort 4 — Moderate breeze, and for temperatures from 0 °C to 40 °C (32 °F to 104 °F). It positions itself with GPS and GLONASS. It came out in 2017.

When is it safe to fly the DJI Spark?
Drone Weather Forecast compares every hour of the forecast with these limits and gives one colour:
- Green — wind and gusts up to 25 km/h (90 % of the limit).
- Yellow — between 25 and 28 km/h: fly with caution, a gust can push the drone past its limit.
- Red — above 28 km/h, or rain, low visibility, too few satellites or a KP index above 4.
Gusts are judged against the same limit as the average wind, and the wind at your flying height is usually stronger than at ground level. The Pro wind profile shows the forecast from 10 m up to 4,200 m.

Cold and heat
The DJI Spark is not rated for flight below 0 °C. Near that limit batteries deliver less energy: keep them warm until take-off and plan shorter flights.

Weight and registration
The DJI Spark is above the 250 g line most countries use to decide whether a drone has to be registered and its pilot tested, so plan on registering it and carrying your operator number. That rule is national and it changes, so check the one for the country you fly in. The weight pays off once you are up: the same gust moves a heavier aircraft less than a sub-250 g model.
Flight time in wind
The 16 minutes the DJI Spark is rated for are measured in still air. Wind takes a real bite out of that, and the way back is the expensive part: the drone drifts downwind for free and pays for the whole return. With wind near the 25 km/h caution mark, plan for about 12 minutes and turn back early.
GPS and satellites
The DJI Spark uses GPS and GLONASS. For your position, Drone Weather Forecast counts the visible satellites of these systems and warns when fewer than 9 are locked; a KP index above 4 (geomagnetic storm) can also disturb GPS and the compass.

Frequently asked questions
How much wind can the DJI Spark handle?
Up to 28 km/h (7.8 m/s, 17 mph), Beaufort 4. Above that it may not hold its position or fly back against the wind. Drone Weather Forecast starts warning at 25 km/h.
Can the DJI Spark fly in 20 km/h wind?
Yes. 20 km/h is below its 28 km/h limit and below the 25 km/h caution threshold, so the app shows green — as long as the gusts also stay below 25 km/h.
How much does the DJI Spark weigh?
300 g (10.6 oz) ready to fly, which is above the 250 g threshold used by most national drone rules.
How long does the DJI Spark fly?
Up to 16 minutes in still air. Expect less in wind and in the cold — nearer 12 minutes once the wind approaches its limit.
Can the DJI Spark fly in the rain?
Drone Weather Forecast treats rain above your precipitation limit as a no-fly condition for every model. Check the DJI Spark manual for its water resistance before flying in wet weather.
What is the minimum temperature for the DJI Spark?
0 °C (32 °F); the maximum is 40 °C (104 °F).
→ Can you fly a drone in the rain?
Limits from the manufacturer specifications, as set in the app's drone presets. Always follow your drone manual and local aviation rules.
